What's the process of working with E.M Customs.

The process always begins with either an inspirational sample to replicate or a complete tech pack. Our team carefully reviews the information sent to fully understand the type of products you wish to develop and all specific requirements. Based on this information, we select the most suitable manufacturer to evaluate your project and provide an initial quote.

Can you supply just the fabric?

We don’t offer fabric supply as a service, as we do not operate as a supplier. Instead, our focus is on connecting clients with the right manufacturers to meet their specific needs.

How do you accept payment?

We accept payment via bank transfer. Payment information can be found on your invoice.

Manufacturing and Sourcing

What is a “unit”?

A “unit” is one single garment. Therefore our MOQ of 50 units per design and per colour is referring to 50 single garments to make up a batch. A “unit” may also be called a “piece” or given as the abbreviation “pcs” when referring to multiple units.

What is your minimum order quantity?

At E.M Customs, we do not impose a minimum order quantity requirement as we do not operate as a supplier. Instead, our focus is on connecting clients with the right manufacturers to meet their specific needs. Suppliers, on the other hand, typically have MOQs, but these can vary greatly between suppliers. To ensure the best results, we match the size of the client’s order with the appropriate manufacturer – small orders go to small manufacturers, medium-sized orders to medium-sized manufacturers, and large orders to well-established factories. This approach guarantees the optimal alignment of client requirements with the capabilities of the manufacturer.

Do I need professionally drawn designs in place?

Professionally drawn designs are helpful for us to gather an understanding of the clothing you’d like to have produced, however we understand that as a small brand or a start up you may not have these in place. In that case you can simply use a tack-pack or something similar

Does E.M Customs team provide support to clients before, during, and after production?

Yes. Our team works closely with clients to ensure that all aspects of the project are thoroughly understood and addressed with suppliers, including design specifications, materials, production timelines, quality control coordination, logistics coordination and addressing any issues that may arise & provide solutions based on our expertise. Regular communication is also maintained with clients throughout the process to keep them informed of the project’s progress.

What types of products does E.M Customs source?

We source a wide range of fashion products, including clothing, accessories, jewelry, footwear, and homeware, thanks to our large network of manufacturers and suppliers around the world. Our team is also well-versed in sourcing high-quality products with the correct price and conditions.

Can E.M Customs assist with finding and sourcing sustainable and eco-friendly materials and fabrics? 

Absolutely! From organic cotton to recycled polyester, we’ve got a wide range of options that cater to a specific budget, and different needs and preferences. We also make it a priority to work only with factories that adhere to the highest standards of sustainability and ethical practices.

Can E.M Customs assist with product development and prototyping, in addition to sourcing materials and fabrics?

E.M Customs can provide valuable assistance to brands through our services. When a brand activates these services, a dedicated project manager is assigned to work with the brand throughout all of its operations. One of the key areas where the project manager can be especially helpful is in coordinating prototype development as part of our comprehensive production management services.

How does E.M Customs manage the logistics from suppliers to my door? 

E.M Customs has a reliable supply chain and logistics system to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products. We offer various transportation modes for international shipping, including land, sea, and air transport. Established courier services such as UPS, EMS, and DHL are used for sending samples, with a flat fee covering both freight and handling. For bulk production shipping, E.M Customs provides air and sea freight options with delivery times of 5 days and 1 month, respectively. Door-to-door delivery is also available, which uses reputable courier services such as UPS or FedEx with a delivery time of 3 days. We can also advise on trusted cargo companies for air and sea freight.

Are the collections and products that Deepwear offers always in stock, or are they made to order?

At E.M Customs, we offer a unique buying service to our clients. We are not suppliers ourselves, nor a middleman. Instead, we represent a vast network of wholesale suppliers and manufacturers who have their own collections available. Each supplier has their own set of conditions in terms of time, price, and minimum order quantities. Some suppliers have stock available and can repeat production, while others only work on custom production orders.

How does E.M Customs simplify the buying process for clients?

We simplify the buying process for clients by providing them with a pre-existing network of collections from various categories. This allows clients to easily browse and select from a wide range of options, without the need to go through the time-consuming and potentially confusing process of searching for products from multiple sources.
